William Morris

about.

The william Morris Gallery is the only public museum in the world dedicated to William Morris—a 19th-century British designer, writer, and socialist who started the Arts and Crafts movement. The gallery is housed in the Grade II listed Water House, Morris's family home from 1848 to 1856, it is in Walthamstow, East London.

William Morris thinks that making art and design accessible to everyone is very important, not just the rich peoprl. He thinks craftsmanship is more important than mass production and believed in the social responsibility of artists. His work continues to influence design and social thought to today.
